Small business websites
If customers need to find you, believe you and get in touch
You’re probably in the right place if…
- You have no website, or one you’re embarrassed by
- Yours was built years ago and looks it
- It looks wrong on a phone
- You can’t update it without ringing someone
- Nobody can find you unless they know your name
- You’re on Facebook only and it makes you nervous
- Your last web person has disappeared
Everything, and nothing you don’t need
A site that looks the part
Built for phones first
Found in local search
Enquiries that arrive
Bookings and payments
Looked after afterwards
Four steps, and only one of them needs you
A conversation
A fixed price
I build it
It goes live
Fixed price. Told to you first. No creep.
No surprises, specifically
- No charge for changes during the build
- No lock-in contract you can’t leave
- No holding your domain hostage
- No hourly billing that quietly mounts up
- No outsourcing to someone you’ve never spoken to
- No jargon in any conversation or invoice
Straight answers
It depends entirely on what it needs to do. A five-page site for a local service business is a very different job from a shop with three hundred products. Ring me, describe it in plain English, and I’ll give you a real number rather than a range designed to get me in the door.
You can, and for some businesses that’s a perfectly sensible answer. What you’re really buying from me is the time you won’t spend, the decisions you won’t have to make, and having someone to ring when it breaks at half past four on a Friday. If your business is simple and you enjoy fiddling with it, save your money.
More common than you’d think. In most cases I can recover the domain and the site even without their cooperation, though it’s easier with it. Bring me whatever logins and emails you still have and I’ll work out where everything actually lives.
Yes. I’m in Wiltshire and Berkshire, but websites are built over the phone and email like everything else. Several of my clients I’ve never met in person.
You take everything with you. The domain is in your name, the site is standard WordPress, and I’ll hand over the files and logins without making it difficult. I’d rather you stayed because you want to.
